Spotify, the Internet radio subscription company that launched in the United States only a couple of months ago (mid July) has now surpassed 2,000,000 subscribers on a global basis. This would mean that Spotify has added subscribers at a pace of about 200,000 per month, a level that would make Sirius XM jealous.

The subscription service runs about $5.00 per month for commercial free music, and about $10 per month if you want to include on-the-go listening via a mobile device. While the addition of 200,000 users per month may not be impressive to some, readers need to understand that Spotify is new to the game stateside, and to see this type of growth this fast is impressive.
